S.T.A.R.S Combine - Seattle

This exciting program is in it's second year. Seattle is one of only 20 locations where S.T.A.R.S is offered in the nation this year. It will be July 3rd. S.T.AR.S. stands for Standardized Testing of Athleticism to Recognize Skaters.

From USFS website:  S.T.A.R.S. is a new  system of off-ice  fitness assessment and development designed to support U.S.  Figure Skating's  existing testing and competition progressions. Its development  is based  primarily on the need to promote robust, all-around fitness in young  American  skaters; to push and maintain the athletic ability curve ahead of the  skills
curve; to ensure that young figure skaters are physically prepared to  handle
the introduction of new, more complex and more demanding skating skills;  and to
reduce the potential for injury typically sustained during the training  of
these new skills.

Who can participate: U.S. Figure   Skating member. Ages 6 and up. Must have passed the pre-preliminary moves in the field test and be injury free upon time of assessment. Please visit USFS S.T.A.R.S.  for more information about  how to sign up, FAQs and to download resources  to
start training for the  Combine.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO ALWAYS CHECK WITH YOUR COACH PRIOR TO REGISTERING FOR EVENTS SUCH AS THIS
