NOTICE REGARDING CLUB EDUCATIONAL ICE
Due to availability of ice, the club ice recently rescheduled due to the snow had to be rescheduled again.  The date is now confirmed. Please join us for club education ice which will feature Paul Askham as a guest coach.  The focus of this club ice will be on stroking/power for one half of the session and ice dance during the other half. 
This will be held on SATURDAY FEBRUARY 11th AT 10:45AM.  This will follow the test session scheduled for that day.  Cost for the hour of ice and instruction will be $10.00 per person.
We hope to see all of you there to gain new tips and ideas to improve your skating!!

We are pleased to bring you an Educational Club Ice on Friday Jan. 20th from 4:15-5:15 pm.  
On the Ice, Paul Askham will be the guest coach.  He will be doing 1/2 hour of ice dance instruction, and 1/2 hour of edge/power instruction.  All Club skaters at all levels are welcome.  The fee will be $10 for the hour which includes ice time and instruction.  Pay the BFSC directly.
Bio from Wikipedia, and the OVA website: Paul Askham  is a British ice dancer. With partner Sharon Jones, he is the 1985-1988 British national champion. They represented Great Britain at the 1988 Winter Olympics, where they placed 13th. They later went to perform as principle skaters with Holiday on Ice, and also became the World Professional Ice dance Champions.  He currently works as a coach and is also the director of Theatre on Ice in Seattle.  Paul specializes in Power Stroking, Dance, Edge Technique, and has 17 years coaching experience.

Due to the close proximity of the ice show, the club ice originally scheduled for December 16th has been cancelled.  Our next club ice is scheduled for January 20th from 4:15-5:15.  This club ice will include 20 minutes of instruction from club coach(es) and also parent education meetings.  We hope to see everyone there,

Some great upcoming events:
December 3rd the ice arena is hosting a Skate with Santa Day.  It is from 12:00pm-4:00pm.  Invite your family, friends, and neighbors to come out for an afternoon of skating with Santa.  Pictures with Sant will also be available for purchase.  The arena is looking for club skaters and members that would like to help at this event.  Contact Allison Miller (arena skating director).

December 3rd is also the club's annual holiday party.  After a fun time skating and helping with the arena event, come out and enjoy some social time (and dinner) with your fellow club members.  There will be a gift exchange for the kids.  If you want to participate in the gift exchange, bring a gift of $10.00 and under.  This is always a fun event.  We hope to see everyone there.  An evite was sent to all members, so be sure to reply to this invitation. This events begins at 5:00pm, with dinner being served at 6:00pm

Alec competed in Intermediate Men at the Pacific Northwest Regional Championships and placed 3rd, qualifying him to advance to the US Junior National Figure Skating Championships which will be held in Lansing, Michigan December 10-14.  Congratulations Alec!  We are proud of you and wish you the best of luck!!!

The Bremeton Figure Skating Club is holding it's 1st Annual Autumn Showcase September 24th at 3:15pm.  This first annual exhibition is being held in tribute to the late Chuck Haselwood.  We thank all the club skaters that were able to perform and also are happy to have invited some of our local neighboring club skaters to perform as well.
If you are not performing, we hope to see you out at the arena on the 24th to enjoy an afternoon of skating and cheer on your fellow club members.
The event is free admittance.  Invite your family, friends and neighbors to come out ane enjoy some skating and introduce them to the great sport of figure skating.
